Hi,

I’m Brittney—a trauma-informed family therapist passionate about helping individuals and families reclaim their peace, purpose, and power. With a deep belief in holistic healing, I take an integrative approach that honors the mind, body, and spirit—because true wellness can’t be compartmentalized.

My journey into therapy began after 15 years in education, where I witnessed countless students and families carrying emotional burdens that academics alone couldn’t solve. That experience ignited my calling to provide deeper, more holistic care that addresses the full human experience. Today, I work with youth and adults to process trauma, navigate life transitions, and reframe the narratives that impact their mental and emotional well-being. My work is especially drawn toward Black women and marginalized groups who feel as if they are fighting to survive in an unkind world when they deserve to thrive in spite of the chaos around them.

In sessions, I blend system-based approaches with creative, embodied tools like therapeutic writing, mindfulness, and the integration of faith into your mental wellness journey. I believe healing looks different for everyone, and my goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to flourish.

More about me

I’m a dedicated wife and mom of two amazing boys. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a national bestselling author and lifelong storyteller who believes in the power of words to heal and inspire. Whether I’m writing, creating safe spaces for individuals to be heard, or chasing joy with my family, I’m deeply passionate about helping people live whole, grounded, and purpose-filled lives. I enjoy good wine, karaoke, working out, roller skating, meaningful conversations, and making time for rest and reflection—because I believe the best care we can give others starts with caring for ourselves first.
