I'm Kyrsten Sprewell, MSW, from Pasadena, California. I've been working in the mental health field in Atlanta for 6 years, providing in-home counseling for CORE and IFI programs. I have done Non-profit management, group counseling, outreach program development, and advocacy work throughout my time in Atlanta. Before that, I worked with women survivors of domestic violence, the foster care system in Alabama, and in hospice care.
Mental health is not limited to having a diagnosis or being labeled, it is about our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Checking in with yourself about how you are feeling, learning about ways to manage negative symptoms or experiences, and accessing support around you are all great ways to stay mentally healthy.
