I am Patrice Early, a dedicated social worker born and raised in Atlanta, GA. My journey as a therapist began after graduating from the University of Georgia’s School of Social Work. I have worked in both private, public, and community-based settings. When I am not working my time is spent being a mom, wife, daughter and good friend. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks, hiking, mindful coloring and traveling!
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia State University in 2012. Soon after, I pursued my graduate studies at UGA, then became a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in 2016. My experience includes clinical work at inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, providing linkage to care for people living with HIV, counseling and assessments with college students, and work with single mothers and grandmothers raising children in Metro Atlanta. My approach to therapy includes using mindfulness based, harm reduction, and trauma informed methods including motivational interviewing, strengths based cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy.
More about me
I work with clients to build a life that allows for the need to show up for others to coexist with investing in our own emotional and mental wellness. Despite the hardships, we are all resilient beings capable of functioning better while working alongside life’s challenges. Through our work together, we will explore boundaries, educational tools, and coping skills to rise to resilience and show up each day as our best self despite life’s hardships. Awareness is the foundation for change, and we will work together to enhance our personal awareness to build a more functional and peace filled existence. If you are looking for a non-judgmental, challenging yet rewarding therapeutic experience, I am here for you.
