Hello

Hi, I am Kiara Smith, a Licensed Master of Social Work. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from Walden University. I developed my passion for therapy during the time I spent working at Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, in order to provide needed support for individuals and their families. I have experience as an Applied Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also spent time providing individual and group psychotherapy services at a mental health hospital for children, adolescents and adults with an array of mental health and substance use disorders.

My goal as your therapist is to assist you in developing the necessary skills to navigate through your mental health journey. In addition to providing a different perspective on mental health and how addressing it and its challenges can contribute to a happy health life. I aim to work with individuals ages 16-26 to pilot through these challenges of life, whether they are personal, with family, or with peers.

More about me

I work from a strengths-based approach, assisting and supporting clients to be the pilot of their own lives.  In addition, my treatment modalities focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, self-esteem, and trauma.  In working with my clients, I aim to break barriers of the stigmas associated with mental health and bring about awareness and a sense of healing.

Join me on this journey of positivity and enlightenment as we transform your thoughts, views and actions into powerful tools to elevate through any life challenges you may be facing.
