I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and proud graduate of Clark Atlanta University Master of Social Work Program. I spent several years working for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services in several roles from case management to supervision to Leadership as a practice model coach educating and preparing staff with clinical skills to partner with families and community stakeholders.
Communication is my gift! I believe in having “real” conversation in a nonthreatening, compassionate and empathetic way! With this approach, I quickly build rapport and trust with my clients. I assist my clients with co-developing practical steps and ways of identifying pragmatic solutions to combat future challenges.
As a clinician, I create a safe space for my clients to feel free and vulnerable, as they openly wrestle with their emotions by identifying what’s working and not working in their lives. I enjoy teaching my clients new skills, challenging their thoughts and behaviors, as well as holding them accountable, and celebrating their change and success!
I offer individual, family, parenting , couples counseling and coaching. Currently, many families are suffering from the effects of the COVID pandemic and are having challenges with homeschooling their children, maintaining employment and relationships. I am skilled in assisting with developing structure, consistency, and boundaries specific to their individual or family needs for overall success!
