Hello

I am Dr. Ashley J. Carver, a wife, mother and a native of Atlanta, Georgia.

I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Tuskegee University, a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concertation in Mental Health from Alabama A&M University, and a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) degree from the University of Southern California.

I developed my life’s philosophy from my understanding that life itself is a gift. I believe life is precious and that every day is unrepeatable; therefore, it should be enjoyed. The development of my life’s philosophy motivated me to work in the field of Social Work because I am aware of social issues, environmental challenges, mental illness, and legal setbacks which often prohibit one from taking advantage of opportunities that life presents.

A significant component of my life mission involves creating a better future for those in need.

I have over 10 years of Social Work experience gained through working with children/youth, homeless victims, mental health, mediation, and suicide prevention.

More about me

I am committed to working with individuals between the ages of 16 – 30, who are burdened with depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationships issues. My approach to therapy is to utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I am a firm believer that everyone is equipped with tools to help them cope with life but at the same time some may need help accessing these tools. If you are looking to work with someone who is down to earth and non-judgmental feel free to contact me.
